1. PROMOTION ORGANIZERS: SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S. (IKEA) (hereinafter referred to as "The organizers") will conduct the promotion called "14 trips around the sun with IKEA Family" (hereinafter referred to as "The promotion"), which will be governed by the rules established in this regulation (hereinafter referred to as "The Promotion Rules"). Draw conducted among customers who join the IKEA Family club during the promotion period and are or become holders of the IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY FIDELITY card.
2. DURATION AND GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE OF THE PROMOTION: This promotion will be valid in the Dominican Republic from February 15 to March 3, 2024. The participation area includes the Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago regions.
3. PROMOTION DYNAMICS AND PARTICIPANTS: Customers from the geographical area of Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago who are or join the IKEA Family club during the promotion period and become holders of the IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY FIDELITY card between February 15 and March 3, 2024, have the opportunity to participate to be one of the 14 LITE winners of (7) seven purchase checks of 4 thousand pesos and (7) VISA winners of a purchase check of 14,000 pesos. They can join the club by completing the web form at www.IKEA.com.do and by registering to become a member of the IKEA Family club, and to the contest by filling out the form after the purchase.
Upon prior notification to the Pro-Consumer Institute, THE ORGANIZERS may cancel the promotion, modify the dates, the terms and conditions of these promotion rules, as well as the prizes presented, at any time for justified reasons and notified to Pro-Consumer for approval. In case of cancellation or changes in the promotion, it will be notified on our website www.IKEA.com.do, on social networks, or at the IKEA store in the Dominican Republic.
4. PARTICIPANTS: All individuals over eighteen (18) years of age who are or join the IKEA Family club during the promotion period and become holders of the IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY FIDELITY card, residing in the Dominican Republic, may participate. Employees of the company Sarton Dominicana SAS are excluded from this promotion.
5. PARTICIPATION DATES: From February 15 to March 3, 2024.
6. WINNERS: On March 4, 2024, the 14 main winners of IKEA FAMILY VISA and/or IKEA Family FIDELITY will be selected within the organizers' facilities, in the presence of a notary and the winners' results of the promotion will be announced through the social networks of IKEA Dominican Republic.
7. PRIZE: The prizes will be as follows:
• 7 winners of a purchase check of RD$4,000 pesos.
• 7 winners of purchase checks of RD$14,000 pesos.
For a total of RD$126,000 in 14 prizes. The geographical area of participation is the Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago regions.
The winner must come to claim their prize at the IKEA Store where the invoice was issued. An alternate winner will be selected in case of disqualification of the original winner. Winners understand and accept that it will not be possible to refund the money for items purchased with this prize. The prize is non-transferable and must be claimed by the winner or their legal representative no later than March 31, 2024. In no case will the prize be exchangeable for another or its cash value. To claim the prize, it is essential that the customer presents their identification document.
THE ORGANIZERS are not responsible in case of loss or theft of the prize. The winner will be contacted by telephone or email from the end of the winner selection, BY A STAFF MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZERS (similarly, the winner will be published no later than the 24th day of March of the year 2024, and the result will be published on the social networks of IKEA (@IKEArepublicadominicana), the website www.IKEA.com.do.
The withdrawal of the prize is strictly personal, the winner must go to the administrative office of SARTON DOMINICANA, SAS, at Av. John F. Kennedy corner of Bienvenido García Gautier street, El Pino, D.N., and must present the following documents, after being contacted by the company to coordinate the details with them:
• Identification Document: ID or Passport.
• IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY FIDELITY card.
• Legalized Spanish representation power of attorney plus identity document of the grantor and attorney. (If the withdrawal is not personal). In order to ensure the legitimacy of the winner, we may request some additional documents.
The customer releases THE ORGANIZERS from any liability unless the fact is attributable to the suppliers, as a result of the acceptance or use of the prize. Likewise, within the promotion period, if a participant "adopts our return policy" and returns their purchase, they will automatically be disqualified from participating in the promotion. All taxes, fees, or expenses incurred by the winner to receive or claim the prize and any other unspecified expenses are the sole responsibility of the customer.
8. PERSONAL DATA: The personal data that participants provide to participate in this promotion will be incorporated into a data file, owned by SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S, domiciled at Av. John F. Kennedy corner of Bienvenido García Gautier, Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional El Pino CP 10508.
9. USE OF WINNERS' NAMES AND IMAGE: Pursuant to the provisions of the Organic Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 172-13, participants in promotions automatically consent to the use and processing of the data provided, for the purpose of participating in the promotion, and also for the investigation, promotion, and marketing of the products and services of THE ORGANIZERS. Likewise, the personal information requested for the purposes of this promotion will not be disclosed to any other organization except with the express consent of the contestant. Participants, in the event of being winners, automatically consent to participating in the present promotion in the use, publication, and reproduction worldwide and without limitation, by THE OR GANIZERS, of their image and name in any type of advertising, promotion, publication, including the Internet, for commercial or informational purposes as long as they are related exclusively to the present promotion, without THE ORGANIZERS having to pay any financial compensation to the winning participant for this fact, these publications will be made within the time frame of six (6) months, starting from the end of the promotion. If the winning participant is not interested in participating in these publications, they may send an email to lopd@ikeasi.com rejecting their consent. 10. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES: Mere participation in the promotion implies acceptance of these rules and also consent under the ORGANIC LAW ON PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA No. 172-13 by the participants that the registered data may be used by SARTON DOMINICANA S.A.S to communicate other campaigns, or promotions. In case of doubts or discrepancies in the interpretation of these rules, they will be referred to common law. The rules will be available during the period in which the promotion is valid in the IKEA Store in the Dominican Republic and on the website.
11. GENERAL: Any attempt at betting or similar methods is prohibited. No automatic, programmed, robotic, or similar registration will be allowed. THE ORGANIZERS may disqualify or exclude from the promotion those participants who, directly or indirectly, have altered, breached, or violated the rules established in these Promotion Rules.
12. APPLICABLE LEGISLATION: This promotion is governed by the current legislation in the Dominican Republic and by these rules.
